I will be surprised if Benn didn’t see the ban coming. He should have kept his head low and walked back quietly and he might have gotten away with just 75% match fees fine. It is a well documented fact that Australian players never cross the line and it is always the other team’s fault especially if they are brown or black. As Chris Broad, the most competent match referee I have ever seen, commented, Benn hopefully learns his lesson.
